Lego Minecraft Chicken Coop – A review

For all minecraft fans out there, Minecraft figures come in Lego sets. Introducing the Minecraft Chicken Farm, featuring Alex Minecraft mini-figure, 2 eggs, big chicken, baby chicken, 2 chicken figures and a tamed wolf figure. All of these mini-figures can roam freely within a chicken pen with furnace, water, grass areas and an elevated hen-house that delivers chicken eggs directly into a chest.

Lego minecraft sets offer a great way of minecraft building as a hands-on alternative for playing minecraft in the virtual world, definitely a great way to tear minecraft fanatics away from screen time!

This LEGO Minecraft Chicken Coop set includes 198 pieces designed for both boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14.

Lego Minecraft Chicken Coop Building Kit

My 8-year old son got this set for Christmas. He was ecstatic as he opened the box and built it on his own. It took him a little less than 1hour to complete the actual design following the step-by-step manual included in the box. He, together with his 3year old brother, played with it for hours.

What we love about Lego MineCraft Chicken Coop

  • It has interactive parts that add fun in the pretend play. The big chicken is actually an egg dispenser that drops the egg directly into a chest. The wolf tail can move up and down.
  • Parts are made up of high quality, durable plastic material
  • Parts are compatible with any Lego sets
  • Minifigures are fun to play with which includes a feather, bone, flowers, axe.

What we hate about Lego Minecraft Chicken Coop

  • Parts are hard to snap together and even harder to disassemble, especially the smaller parts
  • Small parts are very easy to lose (although there are 10 spare pieces) and impose choking hazards for kids under 3 years old.
